René is a S.A.G. actress, film production manager and assistant director at SmallwOrld Pictures as well as a poet and writer. In René’s world, art is a necessary form of communication. She views artistic expression as a necessary medium for relaying messages of love, passion, joy and pain for the purpose of inciting wonder, amusement, strength, and most importantly encouraging growth and a realization of omnipotence in all people.
René began her career as a model for comic book artist Louis Small Jr. She modeled for characters such as Lady Death, Vampirella, and Code Name Knockout just to name a few. She was featured in the 1999 movie “The Sterling Chase” starring Sean Patrick Thomas, which earned her, her S.A.G. union status. René has gone on to perform in music videos such as “Ain’t All Good” by De La Soul feat. Chaka Khan and others as well as many theater shows. Recently, René has expanded her creativity to include work behind the scenes. Currently, she is working as Assistant Director on the set of the soon to be released music video “Joy” with recording artists Anthony Ponder Ministry’s Desire. Rene is also writing the story of her life in a book called “Mockingbird“.
René’s life path includes creativity as well as a passion for assisting others in realizing their inner strengths and ability to make their dreams come true. René is certain that life expands in proportion to each one’s capacity to accept the concept of infinite possibilities within the exponential universe.
